What is the RRSP Home Buyers’ Plan?

The RRSP Home Buyers’ Plan is a special program that allows home buyers to borrow against the balance in their Registered Retirement Savings Plan in order to access cash for a home purchase. Under this program, qualified withdrawals are tax free, but you must pay any withdrawal back to your RRSP if you do not want to incur an additional tax penalty.
